Philips Affiniti 30 – efficient workflow for everyday ultrasound
The Affiniti 30 is built for day-to-day clinical demands: robust, ergonomic and focused on getting to
reproducible results quickly. It combines dependable imaging with workflow tools that help reduce manual adjustments—especially
valuable in departments with high exam volumes.
Clinical versatility – one system for many specialties
Thanks to its multifunctional concept, Affiniti 30 can be used across a broad range of disciplines, from routine exams to more
complex assessments:
- abdominal imaging and bowel imaging
- OB/GYN, fertility and obstetrics
- echocardiography (adult, pediatric and fetal) and stress echocardiography
- vascular imaging (peripheral, cerebrovascular and abdominal vessels), including transcranial Doppler
- pediatrics
- musculoskeletal imaging and superficial structures
- prostate imaging and interventional imaging
- strain elastography
Imaging technologies – clearer anatomy with less noise
To support stable image quality, the system includes proven Philips technologies such as SonoCT (compound imaging),
adaptive XRES image processing and Tissue Aberration Correction (TAC) to compensate for variations
in sound speed through tissue. This helps improve border definition, reduce artifacts and enhance overall anatomical detail,
including in technically difficult patients.
Automation and ease of use – fewer steps, faster results
Efficient daily scanning depends on workflow-driven operation. Affiniti 30 supports several intelligent optimization features:
-
iSCAN – one-button optimization of key imaging parameters
-
AutoSCAN – continuous real-time optimization for consistent image appearance
-
iOPTIMIZE – automatic adjustment to patient habitus and exam type
In addition, Next Gen AutoSCAN can help maintain uniform image quality while reducing the need for frequent manual
fine-tuning during repetitive routines.
Color flow and vessels – Flow Viewer for enhanced visualization
For vascular assessment and fetal cardiac applications, the Flow Viewer can enhance the visual presentation of
color flow, making it appear more structured and easier to interpret in dynamic situations. Flow Viewer can be used across
different color-flow imaging modes, including MicroFlow Imaging variants.
Transducer portfolio – examples for different indications
Depending on your clinical focus, Affiniti 30 can be configured with a range of transducers. Examples (selection):
- C6-2 convex, 6–2 MHz, 128 elements
- C8-5 micro-convex (broadband), 8–5 MHz, 128 elements
- C9-4v micro-convex, 9–4 MHz, 128 elements
- L12-4 linear, 12–4 MHz, 128 elements
- L12-5 (50 mm) linear, 12–5 MHz, 256 elements
- S4-2 sector, 4–2 MHz, 80 elements
- S8-3 sector, 8–3 MHz, 96 elements
- V6-2 volume convex, 6–2 MHz, 192 elements
- 3D9-3v volume micro-convex, 9–3 MHz, 128 elements
