The Next Generation of 24-Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring
The boso TM-2450 represents a new standard in ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. This compact and ultra-quiet device combines advanced technology with improved patient comfort and delivers highly accurate measurement results. It fully complies with the ABPM guidelines of the European Society of Hypertension and is ideally suited for modern hypertension diagnostics.
Technology and Measurement Comfort
The TM-2450 measures blood pressure during both inflation and deflation, making the process faster and more comfortable for the patient. An intelligent inflation algorithm enables measurements without the need for re-inflation. At the same time, the device detects artifacts, distinguishes between rest and activity phases, and records environmental factors such as temperature and atmospheric pressure – variables increasingly relevant for accurate long-term blood pressure analysis.
Powered by just two batteries and housed in an ultra-lightweight casing, the TM-2450 is 20.5% smaller, 22.5% lighter, and 33% quieter than its predecessor, the TM-2430 PC 2. A specially designed ergonomic hip pouch with shoulder strap and belt is included to maximize wearing comfort.
Smart Analysis and Rhythm Detection
The device is clinically validated according to DIN EN ISO 81060-2, ensuring accurate upper-arm blood pressure readings. A key feature is its built-in arrhythmia detection, which helps identify irregularities such as atrial fibrillation at an early stage. Additional features include a sleep button, an activity sensor, and memory capacity for up to 600 readings, allowing for uninterrupted and comprehensive 24-hour data capture.
Software Support: boso profil-manager XD
Used in combination with boso profil-manager XD (Version 6.0), the TM-2450 enables standardized and detailed data analysis. Key functionalities include:
- Day-night evaluation with target range visualization
- Averages for systolic/diastolic pressure and heart rate
- Night-time blood pressure drop (in %)
- Statistics for 24-hour, daytime, and nighttime readings, including standard deviations
- Display of invalid or failed measurements (artifacts)
- Visualization of heart rate, mean arterial pressure, and comparison of multiple ABPM sessions
- Optional central data hosting
