Philips Lumify

Philips Lumify is a mobile point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) solution that brings diagnostic imaging directly to a compatible smartphone or tablet. Instead of a traditional console, clinicians work with an ultrasound app and dedicated transducers, making it well suited for fast bedside decision-making in emergency care, critical care, anesthesia-related workflows, and outpatient settings. Lumify is designed for situations where ultrasound needs to be available immediately: at the bedside, in the emergency department, in perioperative environments, on the ward, or on the move. The concept is deliberately simple—compatible mobile device plus app plus the right transducer—creating a flexible POCUS setup that integrates well into everyday clinical routines.

Imaging modes – a solid POCUS foundation

For daily point-of-care use, Lumify supports core imaging modes, including B-mode, M-mode and Doppler (depending on application and transducer). Software-based image optimization tools help maintain clear visualization across varying exam conditions.

Workflow and connectivity – share, document, archive

In busy clinical environments, results must be accessible fast. Lumify supports exporting and sharing exams, including options such as e-mail sharing and DICOM transfer to PACS, helping integrate mobile ultrasound into established documentation pathways.

Transducer concept – application-focused flexibility

Lumify can be used with different transducers tailored to clinical needs—typically linear, convex or phased-array—covering a wide range of bedside applications from vascular and small parts to abdominal imaging and cardiac or emergency workflows.
